Christian Camp

Christian, a co-founder of GSS, heads the Clinical Sciences, Medical Affairs, and Drug Safety division. He and his team specialize in executive level physician and physician/scientist recruitment, spanning all therapeutic areas and a broad array of disciplines. Amongst their core discipline strengths are: translational medicine/experimental medicine, clinical pharmacology, early development, clinical research/full development, medical affairs, drug safety/pharmacovigilance, risk management, epidemiology, clinical operations, health outcomes, market access, and regulatory affairs.

Having recruited for nearly a decade exclusively for the healthcare industry (including pharma, biotech, diagnostic, and drug device sectors), Christian has amassed a vast global network of contacts comprised of well known thought leaders, respected academicians, and proven industry executives. He has also attained an in-depth knowledge of the drug development continuum and the overarching marketplace trends. In the end, it is by leveraging his understanding and network that he is able to assist his clients in effectively and efficiently addressing their complex and specialized recruitment needs.

Christian grew up in New England and attended Fordham University in New York, where he attained his degree in Communications. Despite having lived in New York for many years, Christian remains an avid New England sports fan and revels in the recent success of the Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics. He and his family reside in Connecticut and enjoy the outdoors. In his free time, Christian enjoys working with entrepreneurs starting new businesses in novel or evolving fields.

Brian Harrington

Brian, a co-founder of GSS, heads the Discovery, Preclinical, and PharmSciences division and has more than 11 years of experience in search. Brian’s team handles all searches spanning early drug discovery through manufacturing, offering in-depth, hands-on client services that cover everything from C-level executives and board members to mid-level managers and scientists.

A proponent of the adage “client is king/queen” – and a believer that integrity, knowledge, and tenacity are the keys to success – Brian and his team are known for consistently providing superior recruiting and consulting services to both the world’s leading pharma and biotech companies, as well as a select group of dynamic and entrepreneurial start-up organizations. In fact, one well-known, top-five pharma client recently stated, “We have never had this kind of experience working with a search firm before. You knew exactly what we needed, probably better than we did, and delivered it in record time!”

Before embarking on his career in search, Brian worked in the non-profit sector, doing Christian ministry in Manhattan. He obtained his M.A. with honors from Yale University, and his B.A. magna cum laude from Tufts University, with additional training in Jazz Studies at the New England Conservatory of Music.

In his spare time, Brian enjoys reading with his wife and four children, engaging in faith-based volunteer work in Connecticut and New York, and supporting the Arts.

Spencer Weneck

With a focus on the Clinical Sciences Division, Spencer has successfully completed leadership appointments in a range of disciplines from experimental medicine to health outcomes research to market access. Spencer has achieved success in these areas by developing expertise and strong worldwide contacts in drug safety/pharmacovigilance/risk management, epidemiology, and pharmacoepidemiology. His years of recruiting for biopharma, device, and life science consultant companies is strengthened by his previous tenure as a securities analyst covering the life sciences arena. With this unique background, Spencer offers deep perspective and sound understanding of both the client’s technical and financial capacities and the candidate’s position and needs.

Peter Tomassi
Partner
Clinical Sciences, Medical Affairs & Drug Safety

Peter has been working in the recruiting industry since September 1998, focusing exclusively on the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. While he has led teams and recruited professionals within the areas of biostatistics, clinical data management and IT, most of Peter’s experience has been in the recruiting of MDs in all therapeutic areas and functions, including academicians and pharma/biotech professionals. With Peter’s personable style, he can interface easily with MDs at all levels – from Associate Directors to CMOs to academic instructors and professors.

Peter graduated from the Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford. He is an avid cyclist and lives in Connecticut with his wife and 3 children.  Together, they enjoy a variety of outdoor adventures including hiking and camping.

Meredith Ivers
Senior Director
Discovery, Preclinical & Product Development

Meredith has been employed in the recruiting industry for eight years and has a proven track record in handling rare-to-fill and niche positions. She has successfully placed countless junior, middle, and senior management positions in the Discovery, Preclinical, and Product Development arenas, and in the past several years she has expanded her reach to include the Regulatory, Quality, and the Manufacturing areas. With a tenacious spirit and a drive to succeed, Meredith brings specialized skills in assessment/screening, recruiting, and coaching to her assignments. Many of these developed skills were honed during the six years she was employed in the mental health field after receiving a Masters in Psychology from NYU.
