Travere Therapeutics Receives Full FDA Approval of FILSPARI, the First Approved Medicine for FSGS

The U.S. FDA granted full approval to FILSPARI® (sparsentan) to reduce proteinuria in adults and children ages 8 and older with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) without nephrotic syndrome. FILSPARI is now the first and only FDA-approved medicine for FSGS, a rare kidney disease and a leading cause of kidney failure.

The approval extends FILSPARI beyond IgA nephropathy, where it is also approved, into a second rare kidney disease.
